(1) BRIAN: I'm doing rather well at keeping my cool now, Lisa. What's the next step in learning how to handle Jane? How do I change her? (2) LISA: You don't change her, Brian. You let her be herself. BRIAN: How does that help anything? (3) LISA: You look at Jane's motives for lashing out and guide her towards a more peaceful path that satisfies those motives. (4) BRIAN: That sounds like some sort of emotional aikido. LISA: You're learning well, grasshopper.
